Shots Fired Over Parking Dispute, Suspect At Large: Kearny Police

A 34-year-old Newark man remains at large following a shooting that occurred  in Kearny following a parking dispute on the afternoon Tuesday, June 13, authorities said.

At 5:47 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting on Brighton Avenue between Wilson and Bergen avenues, Captain Timothy Wagner said. While a 30-year-old Kearny woman was parking her car, Michael Dellisanti pulled up next to her as the passenger in a silver Ford Focus and fired one round from a handgun into her side door, Wagner said. Dellisanti and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, Wagner said

No one was injured the shooting, Wagner said. The victim had been in a parking dispute several days earlier with Dellisanti, Wagner said.

The Ford Focus involved in the shooting was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Hoyt Street and sustained heavy rear-end damage, Wagner said. A handgun was displayed following the crash, Wagner said.
